The Film

Hearts of Glass following the tumultuous first 15 months of operation of Vertical Harvest (VH), a multi-story, state-of-the-art hydroponic greenhouse. The social impact business provides year-round produce to a mountain town while offering meaningful employment in an inclusive setting for people with disabilities.

The film weaves the story of VH’s launch with the personal journeys of employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Plants and people grow together in this intimate portrait of innovation, inclusion and community.

Sharing Our Message

After screenings at prestigious film festivals, national conferences and a national broadcast on PBS, we’re sharing our story with organizations focused on disability inclusion through improved employment and community integration opportunities.

Hearts of Glass demonstrates that innovation and inclusion can go hand-in-hand, benefiting individuals and the community at large. Furthermore, because the film also touches on sustainability and social entrepreneurship, it appeals to a diverse audience.

Connecting Communities

The current health crisis is changing the way we all communicate with and support our communities. We’ve had an incredibly successful pivot to virtual events with a format that includes:

  • a week of streaming access to the full film via a custom URL
  • a panel discussion featuring the filmmaker and two employees from Vertical Harvest Farms
  • access to additional resources including marketing materials and film discussion guide
  • oversight by Jennifer Tennican, Director of Hearts of Glass

Our programming has proven to be an invaluable resource for organizations looking for ways to engage and inspire their current stakeholders and reach new ones. The film has consistently catalyzed critical conversations and calls to action around disability inclusion — inside and outside the workplace.

“Amazing and important programming that shows the value and loyalty this diverse group brings to the table.”

Mona Lisa Faris, Publisher of DIVERSEability Magazine

Joining Us

We’d like to partner with you as we take our film and message about the value of meaningful, inclusive employment and a diverse workforce to audiences across the country. Through collaborating, we hope to provide you with exciting options to compliment your mission, while engaging and energizing your community.

We can collaborate to:

  • share programming with your employee resource/affinity groups and other internal networks
  • provide impactful programming to organizations in your community who share the same commitment to disability inclusion, but are operating on limited budgets

Working Creatively

We’ve had tremendous success with partnership opportunities ranging from the sponsorship of virtual events to the donation of educational screening kits. Both options provide for brand visibility, participation of your leadership and significant community impact. You can focus your sponsorship in one geographic area or diversify. We can help you direct your support to organizations that you select or we can provide suggestions.

We’re happy to work with you to customize a sponsorship package that fits your goals.
